background/personality
Background;
Lua used to live in a small city up in the sky called Barya. Barya is a home to five sorts of magical beings: humanoids who can control either fire, air, water, earth, or gravity. To those living on The Lands (which is basically Earth but with different kinds of beings living in it), Barya was considered a mythical land in the sky. No one believed it actually existed.
Among the five magical kinds of humanoids in Barya are "leaders", who are regarded as masters of the element. These leaders are known also known as Guardians, as those from Barya consider them the most powerful beings in the city who protect the city's balance and peace, and prevent it from being discovered by other beings. As such, these Guardians are regarded quite highly in society, similar to how the Earth regards those of royal descent.
Lua was born to the magical family of the Water Guardians, and was trained to control her element early in her childhood. As such, she was taught how to act like a guardian at a very early age, and developed a very work-oriented personality. She succeeded her father as the Water Guardian at the age of eleven, becoming the youngest among the guardians. She didn't really mind the fact that some people doubted her capabilities, though, as she believed in herself and her ability to control water perfectly.
One day, however, the Air Guardian was found dead in his office. There were no signs of restraint from him. What was left on the scene was the body, small puddles of water, and a diamond necklace. There was no one else in Barya who fit the description of the perpetrator. The police had concluded that no other person could have been the killer but Lua. Water user could have been anyone, but the diamond necklace was something that she always wore. And it seemed as if the guardian knew who it was who entered his room. There was no other person possible. So of course, Lua was suspected of murder.
The same night as the news broke out, she ran away from Barya and started living in The Lands as a means of hiding herself. But at the same time, she did not give up on finding out who it was who framed her.
World; stuff here but it's unfinished
Personality;
Coming from a family that's almost regarded as royalty, Lua is well-groomed. Her manner of speaking is formal and polite, but she can snap at just about anybody with her sharp tongue when irked. She cares not for positions and hierarchy despite being at the top of the social class in Barya. She treats everybody as an equal because she knows she can take anybody on.
Lua is uptight and serious most of the time, following the rules to a T when possible. Anybody who dares break the rules will be punished by her and she'll make sure that they never break the rules again. That's the kind of person that she is. Discipline was ingrained in her at such a young age, and it's why she is the way she is.
Almost similar to the element that she controls and is aligned with, Lua is introverted and is said to have a cold personality. She's actually very brash and naive and impulsive, only thinking about herself and what she wants next because it could be exciting or fun. She's also easily angered and her patience is thin. While somebody who controls water should be calm and collected, Lua is like a raging river. She doesn't have a heart but a core, but it is in the right place.
Despite being brash, Lua is not somebody who talks a lot. She's an introverted person who would rather keep to herself. Her strict nature makes people think that she's heartless and that she doesn't show much emotion. It's true—it's only when she's provoked that she actually shows anger. Whenever she's trying to cut somebody down with her words, she smiles at them. She's not the most emotive person, but when she does show emotion, they're usually not for a good reason.
As she succeeded her father at a young age, she can be haughty. She knows what she's capable of - even called a prodigy by some people because of her control over water. Her water generation is not only prodigal, but the temperature immediately changes to warm then hot whenever she touches it. It's not a very common trait to have, but the Baryan researchers have no idea why it is that Lua's control over water turns any water into warm, either. Of course, it's reversible, but it's still a phenomenon.
All-in-all, Lua is a child. She looks like a teenager in human years and while she represents the eternal moon (which she was named after), her core is young and there is much for her to learn. She is loyal to those who are loyal to her and she does not think logically, following her instincts instead. She will go with the flow unless it doesn't benefit her, and she only speaks and says what is necessary.
She also harbours an immense amount of rage at whomever it was that framed her for the death of the Air Guardian. She will strike when possible if given the chance.
